Application Process

Students and families interested in the Medical Sciences Semester (MSS) are encouraged to complete this online application. Please note: students must be 16 years old at the start of their semester. Once a family inquires, our admissions team will connect with you to highlight next steps and opportunities to learn more about the program.

We are excited to begin accepting applications on September 1, 2026 for the Fall 2027 and Spring 2028 semesters. 

Priority consideration for both the MSS application and flexible tuition application is February 15, 2027. After February 15 applications will be considered on a rolling basis.

At the Medical Sciences Semester (MSS), we believe that to prepare students for the real world, our community should mirror the real world with a diverse student body that is representative of all socio-economic backgrounds. To achieve this goal, MSS seeks to enroll the most qualified and compelling students whose families understand and embrace the Purpose, Promise, and Principles of Hawken School and MSS regardless of socio-economic background through a need-based Flexible Tuition Program. MSS encourages all families to apply for Flexible Tuition if they think they may qualify.
